It's time for match 20 in the 2026 Men's Vitality Blast and we have an excellent derby to look forward to as near-neighbours Worcestershire host Birmingham Bears in the Central & West Group on Friday evening.
So far this season, Worcestershire have beaten Leicestershire by 18 runs although they were unable to back up that result as they were thrashed by 100 runs against Northamptonshire in their second game.
As for Birmingham Bears, they have now lost four of their last five T20 Blast games. This tournament alone, they have been beaten already by Gloucestershire by 47 runs and Somerset by seven wickets so they need to get their game going in this clash.
All eyes on Worcester on Friday evening!

Very little went right for Worcestershire in their last game when they hosted Northamptonshire on Sunday evening in their second match in the Central & West Group of the 2026 Men's Vitality Blast.
After conceding 191 runs, although the bowling attack did pick up all ten wickets across the 20 overs, the hosts stumbled to 91 all out with their final wicket falling before the end of the 15th over!
Matthew Waite and Adam Finch both come into this clash after taking three wicket hauls on Sunday with only Sikandar Raza going wicketless.
With the bat, Raza, Kashif Ali and skipper Brett Oliveira are the only trio who made double figure scores in the defeat against Northamptonshire.

Birmingham Bear were very much in the game during their clash with Somerset at Edgbaston on Sunday with their top order - numbers two, three and four, Rob Yates, Beau Webster and Sam Hain, all making scores between 41 and 52.
However, runs from elsewhere in the batting line-up were severely lacking and that needs to be something to improve if Birmingham Bears are to get off the mark in the tournament in this game.
With the ball, only Oliver Hannon-Dalby and Usman Tariq picked up a wicket against Somerset although Chris Woakes, Jordan Thompson and Beau Webster are all fine performers in this format.
Could this be the game where the Bears finally get going?

The County Ground at New Road offers short boundaries so a large first innings score of 190+ should be possible. There will also be good pace in the wicket during this match.
With conditions expected to cool in the second half of the evening in Worcestershire, we predict that both captains will choose to bat first if they win the toss.
