Nepal will look to continue its dominance as they take on Qatar in the 19th game of ACC Mens Premier Cup 2023. Nepal’s last game against Saudi Arabia witnessed a rain washout, and the hosts will look to win this and build momentum ahead of the semifinal. Qatar come here with a loss against Malaysia. They find themselves out of contention for a place in the next round.
It has been a poor show from Qatar, and they have lost all their games. The lack of confidence in the camp has hurt the side. In contrast, Nepal has been in excellent form and dominating opponents. Qatar has to pull out a special performance to defeat Nepal, and their approach in this game will be interesting to see.
Nepal saw its last game against Saudi Arabia abandoned due to rain. They have won the earlier two games and have put themselves on the top of the points table in the group. Rohit Paudel would like to build momentum ahead of the semifinal and look for a clinical show from his players.
Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh have missed out in both games, and they would look to strike form and set up a big stand at the top. The middle order is in form, and the side will expect a good show from Bhim Sharki, Paudel, and Aarif Sheikh. Kushal Malla scored a hundred in the last game, adding strength to this line-up with Dipendra Singh Airee and Sompal Kami.
The bowlers have done a good job, and the side will expect a good start from Karan KC and Sompal Kami. Sandeep Lamichhane is looking in excellent form and will look to trouble the Qatari batsmen. Dipendra Singh Airee, Kushal Malla, and Lalit Rajbanshi make it a well-balanced attack.

Mohammed Rizlan’s side is out of contention for a place in the next round. Their players have failed to show consistency this season. They have lost all three games and come here with a 3-wicket loss against Malaysia in their last game. As they play their last game against the strongest side in the group, Rizlan would like to see his side end the tournament on a high.
Zaheer Ibrahim and Kamran Khan have failed to provide good starts, and the side will look for a partnership between them. Imal Liyanage has looked good, and he needs to add runs in the middle order with Muhammad Tanveer and Mohammed Rizlan. They will also expect runs from Khurram Shahzad and Ikramullah Khan towards the end.
The bowling attack will be up against a strong batting line-up, and they need wickets from Muhammad Tanveer and Mohammed Nadeem. Zaheer Ibrahim and Sandun Withanage have to keep the scoring under check in the middle overs. The side will also need a good show from Khurram Shahzad and Ikramullah Khan.

We expect slightly overcast skies over Kirtipur. The wicket is flat, and batsmen have scored runs on it easily. Bowlers have little margin for error as the ball comes to the bat nicely. The side batting first will need 300 runs on the board to feel confident.
Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, is a large ground with a fast outfield. Batsmen have done well at this venue as they can play their strokes. Spinners have a great record on this track as the ball turns sharply. However, there isn’t much on this track for fast bowlers.
We have seen big wins for sides that have batted first at this venue. The wicket is high-scoring at the start and slows considerably as the game progresses. Hence, the side winning the toss won’t hesitate to bat first.
The two teams have been in contrasting forms. Qatar would like to get over the losses they have suffered. The side has been led down by senior players who have been inconsistent. Nepal ticked all the boxes, and they have their batsmen in great form. Playing at home, they start favorites to win this contest.
