Toronto Kings Preview

After losing 9th match of the tournament against the  Mississauga Skyhawks by 42 runs the Toronto Kings bounced back with a strong 33-run victory against the same team in match 11 sealing their semi final spot.

Batting first, the Kings scored a big total of 191/10 in the 20th over. Evin Lewis gave them a fast start with 42 runs from 24 balls, and Saad Bin Zafar added a useful 35. Dwaine Pretorius finished the innings strongly, hitting a quick 37 off only 15 balls.

Chasing 192 to win, the Skyhawks could not score freely against good bowling. Vijay Shankar made 35 runs and Rayyan Pathan made 25, but the team lost wickets too often to stay in the game. Saad Bin Zafar bowled very well, taking 2 wickets for just 24 runs. Rahkeem Cornwall and JJ Smuts also took two wickets each, stopping Mississauga at 158/8.

This is the last league match for the Kings and they are already through to the semi finals but they will look to finish the league stages on a high with a win here and finish at the top of the table.

Toronto Kings Predicted Playing XI:

The Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown has offered balanced conditions in T20 cricket, with an average first-innings score of 155 and a second-innings average of 121 across the last 26 matches. The surface is expected to have some grass, which could assist seamers, particularly under overcast conditions. A first-innings total of around 145-165 runs could be competitive, making it a moderate-scoring surface.

Score Prediction

If Toronto Kings Bat 1st: 155-170 runs
If Montreal Warriors Bat 1st: 160-180 runs

Toss: To Bowl

Teams batting first have enjoyed greater success at Arnos Vale Ground, winning 16 of the last 25 matches. However, overcast conditions and high humidity could offer early assistance to the seamers, making bowling first a suitable option. Considering these conditions, the captain winning the toss may prefer to bowl first and make use of the early movement before batting conditions improve.

Toss Prediction: Montreal Warriors to win the toss.

It is going to be an even contest between two teams coming off huge wins in their last match. However, the Montreal Warriors, bolstered by the addition of Will Bosisto to their batting lineup and Andre Fletcher's recent form, will be a tough side to beat. Their bowlers have also found their rhythm lately. The last match between these two teams was a low-scoring thriller that the Kings narrowly edged out, but expect another tight contest this time, with the Montreal Warriors coming out on top.

Montreal Warriors to win the match.
