Batting first, Stallions CC were bowled out for just 107 runs, failing to build substantial partnerships or put up a competitive total. Sandaruwan Chinthaka scored 60 off 42 balls and fought alone. 

Their batting unit struggled to cope with the opposition’s bowling attack, leaving their bowlers with very little to defend. AP XI then produced a ruthless response, chasing down the target in just five overs to complete a dominant victory. The result exposed Stallions CC’s weaknesses with both bat and ball, and they will need a significant improvement in their overall performance to recover from the setback. 

Stallions CC will need their top-order batters to take greater responsibility and provide a solid foundation, while the middle order must ensure the innings does not collapse under pressure. With the ball, the team was expected to deliver a more disciplined performance, particularly in the powerplay, after AP XI completed the chase in exceptionally quick time. 

Their bowlers must focus on taking early wickets, restricting boundaries and preventing the opposition from gaining momentum. Rohan Wijewardana bagged two wickets for just 17 runs. Manjula Prasan conceded just 16 runs in his 4-over spell and claimed one wicket. Following such a heavy defeat, a strong response from the senior players will be essential to restore confidence within the team.
