England enter Edgbaston after rattling up Pakistan in the 2nd Test match at Lord's, London where they won by a huge margin of 194 runs. Batting first England clawed their way to 290 runs in the first innings on the back off half centuries from Harry Brook (55 runs) and Jamie Smith (65 runs) and useful contributions down the order from Gus Atkinson (45 runs) and Josh Tongue (30 runs).
England then bowled out Pakistan to 110 runs 37.2 overs, Ollie Robinson was the stand out bowler with figures of 4/11, Jofra Archer stream rolled the middle and lower order bagging three wickets and Josh Tongue chipped in with two wickets.
In the 2nd innings, the home team once again struggled to get the score card ticking as they were bowled out for 208 runs in 54.2 overs. Joe Root (24 runs), Harry Brook (34 runs) and Dan Lawrence (54 runs) set the game up for England as they took the lead to over 300 runs.
Then in the 2nd innings England were made to work hard for the wickets by Pakistani batters but eventually they cleaned the visitors up for 194 runs in 50.5 overs. Robinson once again starred with the ball with a second four wicket haul in the match and finished with figures of 8/35. Archer and Tongue picked up two and three wickets respectively.
England's problem this series has been their openers they haven't quite scored runs in the last three innings and with the series done and dusted Duckett and Gay will look to get back to form and make an impact to close out the series.

It has been a chaotic tour for Pakistan on and off the field, on the field they have been rattled completely by England. Pakistan lost both the test matches on the back off some really poor batting performances and fielding hasn't been up to the mark either.
Saud Shakeel stand's out as the top run-scorer for them on the tour so far scoring 132 runs in 5 innings, while Abdullah Shafique scored 84 runs. Shan Masood, Babar Azam the team's two most experienced players failed to make an impact and contribute to the team's score. Imam ul Haq, Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha these three batters are called back to Pakistan and been dropped from the squad for the 3rd test.
In the bowling department Mohammad Abbas has toiled hard bagging 10 wickets on the tour and he has received no support from other bowlers. While from one end Abbas built pressure on the other end the bowlers kept leaking runs this has been the story of their bowling unit this tour. With seven players been replaced for the 3rd test Pakistan are on the brink of losing yet another test match and returning with another series sweep.

The surface at Edgbaston, Birmingham offers a balanced track that favours both the batters and bowlers. On day 1 it favours the bowlers a lot more and run scoring is not gonna be easy, while on day 2 and 3 it get's better for batting and are the two best days to bat in a test match. Day 4 and Day 5 the surface deteriorates a bit with good amount of reverse swing and spinners can use the rough patches to create uncertainty.
Teams that win the toss prefer to bowl first at Edgbaston, Birmingham as on the first day the lively grass helps the bowlers with prodigious swing and batters find it really hard to score runs. We predict the team that win's the toss will opt to bowl first.
England enter this contest as the favourites to win, they hold a 2-0 lead in the series and never lost a test match against Pakistan at Edgbaston. Pakistan making seven changes their lineup, we predict England to dominate this fixture and clean sweep the series 3-0.
